Gamer’s Game
Video games are certainly not a cheap item, no matter who you are buying them for. Some games can reach up to $80, and can cause gamers and parents alike great anxiety. The solution? Search for games at yard sales, you are likely to find top quality games at ridiculously low prices. If you don’t want to take my word for it take the word of two top gamers “evilmax” and “moiety” who have spent two years searching over 2,000 yard sales for the best games out there.
The result of this gaming search has been hundreds of video games for nearly every console at obscene prices. In fact, these two gamers have even been able to compile games that are not made anymore, which makes them highly collectible. Most gamers are highly unlikely to stop at yard sales simply due to the idea of rummaging through someone else’s junk. Although the idea of spending Saturday mornings searching for the newest console may seem somewhat futile, you might be surprised at all the great things a gamer can find.
Some games now in evilmax and moiety’s collection courtesy of yard sales are Nintendo’s Zelda, Simon’s Quest, and Super C; Playstation’s Metal Gear and Final Fantasy III; a Game Cube console with controllers; Atari 5200 with all connections and controllers; NES games and much, much more. So, if you are a gaming fanatic, or you simply want to make your kid’s day a bit brighter skip the retail and head for the yard sale.
